The first design ever made for Immature, aside from the Play Sets, was a silly little drawing of mine that I never imagined would be used for anything. He started out silly and simple: little pink worm wrapped up in a diaper. Inexplicably, Lolly actually wanted to use him on a sticker, but only if we added a bonnet on top of his round, little head.

He’s definitely proven to be a bit of a… polarizing design. Those who hate him can’t stand him, but those who love him are loyal fans. Incredibly, one of those fans happened to be one of my favorite artists in the community!

The talented @rotten_imouto (on Instagram) highlights the ickiest, stickiest, funnest and freakiest parts of this lifestyle in his artwork. I’ve always appreciated his style - unique to himself, while drawing upon related aesthetics that fit that scary, sexy vibe so well. He has long been one of my favorite artists; I’ve twice been the lucky recipient of some fantastic artworks as gifts, and each time I’m blown away. So for Immature’s first piece of fan art to be made by this artist I regard so highly was unbelievable!

Now that’s an immature worm!

As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to do something with it. A sticker would be fiiine, but how sick would he look ironed on to a battle vest? So we went with a patch - and he turned out even better than we had imagined! His vibe works so well with the threaded texture.

We thought spooky season would be the perfect time to release this little guy to all of you - though small, he means a lot to us, and we are so excited to share this special Immature lore with you! We hope you’re as tickled by this crinkly, creepy crawler as we are.

Make sure to give @rotten_imouto all the love he deserves! And thanks as always to all of you whose excitement and support imbues both Lolly and with a drive to create - a vital energy that we need and appreciate beyond words.

Oh - and if you got this far, thanks for reading our very first blog post! The first of many to come; I look forward to sharing all sorts of thoughts, behind-the-scenes peeks, and lots more from our little operation here at Immature HQ (otherwise known as home, lol).

Immature yours,

Ella Raine!
